Do You Know Sinatra – Sinatra Best Songs – Love Songs

The MUSIC ?
FRANCIS ALBERT SINATRA

DO YOU KNOW SINATRA?

Do you know Sinatra? We’re not talking about the man and his personal life here. No we’re talking about the music. The music of Frank Sinatra? Sure, if you’re a fan, you know My Way, Strangers in The Night, New York New York, That’s Life, and The Summer Wind. You know the hits, and some others, but do you know Sinatra greatest most beautiful music of all? Maybe yes/ Maybe not?

Frank Sinatra recorded more than 1,200 songs during his 54 year career, and in all likelihood you haven’t heard them all. Most of us haven’t, even myself who I feel that I know more than most, when it comes to the music, and the recordings of of one Francis Albert Sinatra, The Greatest Singer of The 20th Century, and beyond. Beyond? Yes beyond, for as of now in 2026, a quarter century into the 21st Century, the music of Frank Sinatra who passed away almost 40 years ago, his music is hugely relevant, and 100 of millions of him, and of some of his music.

Yes, some know a bit of Mr. Sinatra’s music, maybe a couple handfuls of hits, and that’s about it? Others, who consider themselves fans, they know more. And those who feel they are more of a super fan, and think they know quite a lot of the mans music, but maybe not. There are all different degrees of what one might know. I myself, who has loved the music of Frank Sinatra for just about 60 years now, I’ve seen Sinatra perform live 7 times, and have about 40 of the mans albums, and I consider myself a sort of Super Fan as they say, and feel I know a good bit about the man and his music. But even I who in all likelihood knows more than probably 9o or 95% of his fans, I’m still learning more. All of a sudden on any given day, I might hear a Sinatra recording that I’ve never heard before. Yes, once in a while but not that often.

Anyway, speaking of the people who believe they are great fans, and feel they know his music, I’m afraid many may not know Frank Sinatra’s “Best Stuff.” I’m talking about Sinatra’s greatest of all “Love Songs.” Songs like : All My Tomorrows, You & Me, You Will Be My Music, Let Me Try Again, and a few others. These songs are Mr. Sinatra’s most beautiful, loving, and passionate songs. Sung with the most real feeling that only Sinatra could convey. So poignant and beautiful, they (Sinatra Love Songs) can make you cry. “I have.” Yes I have, listening to Frank Sinatra sing a song like “All My Tomorrows,” and I think of a great love, and how I had yearned to love her, as Sinatra states in the song, I can get all choked up, and on the verge of crying. I’m not ashamed to admit. This is what a great singer Frank Sinatra was. His music conveyed such genuine feelings. Feelings of love, lost love, heart ache, and bittersweet romance, that when listening to one of these songs, you feel it too, and it brings out strong emotions. Strong enough to choke you up, and perhaps shed a tear.

If you haven’t heard these songs, and you say you’re a great fan of Sinatra. Now is the time. You absolutely must listen and become aware of these beautiful Love Songs. The Greatest Sinatra songs of all. They’re listed below.

PS .. Yes, we were talking about Frank Sinatra, and how beautifully he sang. And the complete package of these beautiful love songs, were Sinatra singing over beautifully compose music, beautifully executed by the most wonderful orchestras, which Sinatra demanded, whether recording, or playing live, Frank Sinatra was always backed by the World Best Musicians and orchestras, that’s what completed these wonderful packages – beautiful lyrics & music, sung by Sinatra, backed by the most perfect bands.

Basta !!!

YOU & ME  “We Wanted it All”

From the TRILOGY Album

1980

.
“All My Tomorrows” is a 1959 ballad with lyrics by Sammy Cahn and music by Jimmy Van Heusen .    The song was expressly written as a Frank Sinatra vehicle.  It was introduced in the film A Hole in the Head where Sinatra sings it in the opening credits.
Sinatra later featured “All My Tomorrows” on his 1961 album All the Way. Sinatra re-recorded it for his 1969 album MY WAY , in a new arrangement which Charles L. Granata considers to be superior to the original, and which AllMusic calls “lush and aching”. Rolling Stone describes the song as “the poignant monologue of a man determined to turn his life around”.

Cafe Du Monde … New Orleans “Americas Greatest Cafe”

Image

America’s Greatest Cafe? What and where is it? Where? First thoughts might run to the culinary capital of America, New York .. You’d be wrong. Though we have many fine cafes in New York and probably the city with more great cafes than most of America, when it comes to AMerica’s number 1, single best, undisputed champ, America’s Greatest Cafe, one stands alone, with whoever number two is, it’s a distant second, America’s Greatest Cafe is without a doubt Cafe Du Monde in The French Quarter of New Orleans .. Wow, was that a mouthful or what ..

Cafe du Monde is America’s best cafe on two fronts. Number one being that they serve this World’s Best Beignets (French Donuts “No Hole”), and the World’s Best Chicory Coffee “Cafe au Lait” … Second the ambiance and physical of the place is wonderful. Number 3, the customers, the people and amount of people that go there, and that just about everyone who goes there (about 99%) makes at least one stop at Cafe du Monde on their trip ..  There are no statistics on it, but I’m pretty sure that more people have had coffee at Cafe du Monde than any other Cafe in the World, including cafes that are older .. Speaking of old as far as cafes or any restaurant or any business goes, Cafe du Monde has been around serving happy customers Cafe Lait and Beignets for more than 150 years .. They have been in continuous operation since 1862 … And there serve thousands of people each and every day 365 days a year, year-after-year … There is no restaurant that comes close in raw numbers … They serve about 35,000 people a week, or 1 Million + 638,000 people a year ..

But, the fact that Cafe Du Monde is thee number 1 place that everyone, whether tourists or locals has to go to … I love Napoleon House, Galatoire’s, and Tujague’s but great as they are, not everyone goes to them. “Everyone goes to Cafe Du Monde.” It’s a meeting place where you get a tasty cup of Cafe au Lait and 3 Beignets for a mere $4.50 … You will see everyone there, and you always have a great time. Cafe Du Monde, one of the World’s greatest and without a doubt AMerica’s Greatest Cafe ..

RADIO

Image

Radio? I Love it .. Many take it for granted, The Radio. Not Me .. It’s amazing, the Radio .. Believe me, when the Radio first came out, people did not take it for granted .. It was the marvel of the day. The first major use of the Radio to the American general public began in the early 1920’s .. America’s first radio stations popped up in the year 1920, but it took a couple years for the general population to get and use them in any great numbers. But once the radio did kick in, it was the greatest thing of the day. People could listen to music, news, skits, and comedic programming. The Radio was a Big and instant Success, and the American Public just loved it.

The 1930’s were a grand hey-day of Radio as it didn’t have TV to contend with. Some popular Radio Shows of the day, were; Roy Rogers and Hop AlongCassidy (Western),Jack Benny (Comedy), Batman, Flash Gordon and Superman, all Super Heroes.

For me, I remember always loving Radio as a very young child, ever since I could remember anything. I especially loved listening to it as we would drive in one of my dads cars; a Plymouth Fury, Packard (The Last Packard ever made), or Fabulous 1958 Cadillac Eldorado. back Then, I especially loved; The Beatles, The Supremes, and The Four Seasons of nearby Bellville, New Jersey, “Sherry! Sherry Baby!”

All these years, Radio has never wavered. It’s always there, still and always great. Always providing great news, info, and Great Music. Well Great Music that is, if you listen to great music and not a station that plays “Horrible Crap Rap hip Hop.” Now that’s not good, and unfortunately it’s out there on some radio stations that cater too those with the God Awful Taste who enjoy listening to “Crap” Rap.

Well, let’s get off that subject, and on to all the Good and great Music that Radio has given us over the years: Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, R&B, Pop, Jazz, Classical and more. Before TV it was a big thing to listen to Boxing Matches on the Radio, The Preakness, Kentucky Derby, Baseball, Basketball, and Football games, and listening to sports on the radio is still pretty big.

Yes radio gives us a lot. It’s quite versatile, and with sports, Talk Radio, and the News, it’s biggest source and popularity is through music. Still, you ride in your car, you’ve got the radio on, it enhances the experience, of driving that is. Music on the radio has enhanced millions of experiences over the years, especially for lovers, young and old who have Necked (Made Out), and Fallen in Love with Music from the Radio, and please “No Rap.”
