2012’s BIGGEST NEWS  iPad Mini & McDonalds “McRib”

Wow what a month this is going to be, a big new Apple product, the much anticipated “iPad Mini” to be released October 23, 2012 (high speculation anyway). And almost just as big, ever Bigger to its Millions of Loyal Fans “The McRib is Coming Back” before the end of the month, go to “Me-N-McRib” for the Secret Date. Yes all you McRib fans out there, “McRib Lover” you hopes and dreams for 2012 are about to come to fruition as the flaky and indifferent McRib resurfaces at a McDonalds near you. Grab her quick, “The McRib” she’s fleeting and will just be around for a short 6 weeks. A cruel and insensitive act to the legions (millions) of adoring Lovers of the McRib. Yes it is Boys and Girls. But hey, it’s a lot better than waiting for 15 years or so from one disappearance before resurfacing  many years later in the past. Seems like the people at McDonald’s are now set into a groove of bringing her (The McRib) back on a annual basis, just before the holidays. Well thank goodness for that.

  So, back to the iPad Mini. As usual Apple has been able to fend off leaks for the most part. No one outside of the most inner core of Apple knows all the details for sure about the iPad Mini, but Cnet and other  reputable in-the-know Tech Sources have just about 99% assured us, the Mini will be announced at the Apple Event on October 23rd. Those lucky enough to have an invitation have a little Clue marked on it. The physical invitation that is, it states “We’ve Got a Little More to Show You.” Little? Get it? Little as in Mini, as in “iPad Mini.” Well, we’re gonna find out for sure on October 23, 2012 .. OK Boys and Girls another Big Piece of news, and it’s back to the McRib. DBZ has just published a Poem on “Me-N-McRib.” It’s a Poem for the McRib, and it’s called “The Heartbreaker” It’s hilarious, yet poignant  and can be read at the Blog “Me-N-McRib.” Check it out.

It’S An APPLE UNIVERSE …. We Just LIVE In IT !!!

The New iPad? What the Hell kind of name is that? People are wonder. A major blunder by Tim Cook. Come on Tim, what kind of name is that? People don’t know what to call it. Is it The iPad 3, The New iPad? What? Major questions are being raised. Prior to 10 Am California time yesterday the questions being asked where what the new iPad was going to be? Were the rumors correct, new high-resolution retina display a more powerful processor, better camera? Yes these all cam true. A cheaper 16 GB iPad 2 at $399. came true as well. The 7″ iPad not true. But the name Time? New iPad that’s gotta go. Maybe it will. Is this just a interim name? Will the name be changed once New iPads start physically going out to customers, or will this Crazy Name “The New iPad” remain? Yes, people are wondering.
Yes no major changes like the ability to increase GB with a SD slot or a USB port, two things people have been crying for but Apple with their Tyrannic Rule make you adhere to their Iron Rule and Control of The Apple Universe all in effort and success to grab as much of your money as possible and monopolize control. Apple is not gonna let you buy more Memory from Scandisk or any other company, they “Want It All” to themselves. Yes, Dictate and control, that’s Apple, like it or not, that’s the way it is.
Well, until the next iPad, 4 or what, iPhone 5 or what. It’s an Apple Universe and we only live in it.

What’s Up Apple? What’s it gonna be, a new high resolution Retina Screen, more power, more memory, a better camera, thicker, thinner, Bigger, smaller? These are some of the questions being asked about Apple’s new iPad. Heck, it may not even be called the “iPad 3″ but The .. iPad HD. Whatever! Speculation that Apple will keep the iPad 2 and sell it for less with a 8GB version. Will there be a 7” iPad? Who knows? Apple….
Well it’s 12:30 PM in New York and 9:30 AM in Corpertino and San Francisco California where the big Apple Press Conference will take place and start in about 30 minutes from now. Million are on the edges of their Proverbial Seats in Anticipation, Carly Simons and Heinz Ketchup. Ha Haaa !!!!
What’s it gonna be Apple? The World wants to know. Well World, people we’re gonna know, in about 30 minutes from now.
PS, they also say that Apple may announce that they are making a TV. Yes a TV, not that little box thing but a full blown TV, The Apple TV. Well, we’ll see. The countdown is on, 24 Minutes from now and counting down. What’s it gonna be Apple? Huh?

DAVY JONES DIES … and We Lose Another

Yes, we’ve lost another great performer. Well some would beg to differ with me using the phrase great performer for Davy Jones. All except his millions of fans who grew up and loved him in their own ways. I was a young boy of the 60s and loved the Monkees. Mickey was my favorite, but I liked Davy as well and all the boys in there funny hi-jinx. The Monkees was my favorite show which I waited patiently for every Saturday morning for a few years of my youth.

   Davy Jones died yesterday, aged 66 of heart attack. Makes me a little sad, such a big part of my childhood. Many girls around my age were madly in love with Davy the good looking lead singer of the band. Yes we are all adults now of middle age and of course you will get a little melancholy thinking back to youth, when you were a child and the things you loved and loved to do. And watching the Monkees was one of those things we loved. Yes most of the girls had crushed on Davy, some on Mickey and maybe a few on Peter or Michael, but without a doubt for the millions of young girls, most were madly In-Love with Davy Jones, the cutest Monkee, no doubt. maybe some guys wanted to be like Davy but probably more like Mickey or Mike.

       Anyway, we’ve lost poor Davy and no doubt millions of women aged 45 to 65 are having their own little morning today and the next few. They’ve lost Davy and just a little bit more of there childhood and girlish crushes have disappeared. Life is that way. Davy, we’re sorry to see you go old pal, may you Rest in Peace, up there with Whitney, Amy, Jimi, Jim and Jim. God Bless You Davy, your memory will live on.

REMEMBERING PAN AM and TRAVELING THE WORLD

Just remembering Pan Am. Oh how I loved that airline, the whole notion of traveling and Jet-Setting around the World in a Pan Am Clipper. A TWA Jet would be acceptable as well, but nothing could beat Pan Am, King of The World Airways for many years. Growing up and going to see movies at the Rivoli Theater in Rutherford New Jersey almost every Saturday, we watched movies and dreamed. Many a movie in the 60’s started out with its opening scene of either a TWA or Pan Am jet-liner landing at in airport of one of the most renowned city destinations of the World: Paris, Rome, London, New York, Hong Kong, Tokyo. You would invariably see either a TWA or Pan Am jet landing, it’s tires screeching as the wheels hit the runway, then immediately the next scene would cut to either, traffic around The Coliseum in Rome, The Arch d’ Triumph in Paris, or cars at Piccadilly Circus  London, then they cut to the first scene with characters after the jet landings and main city attractions to identify which ever city the movie was first set in.

I especially loved all James Bond movies as I aspired myself to be like Bond, complete with Beautiful Women, fast sports cars, and Jet-Setting around the world, Champagne, Caviar, the whole nine yards. And I grew to love Pan Am.

I dreamed of traveling the World; Paris, Rome, Venice, Hong Kong, I eventually did three times over. And of course you know my first trip abroad just had to be aboard a Pan Am 747 to Rome, Italy. I was in heaven on that flight, a Boeing 747, Champagne, Stewardesses, flying over the Atlantic, destination Rome. And don’t you know the second day I was in Rome after eating my first Tremenzzini, Spaghetti Carbonara, Cod di Vaccinara (Roman Braised Oxtails), and Bucatini Amatriciana and seeing thousands of Vespa Scooters zip around the Eternal City, I just had to rent one. I went to a shop on the Via Cavour, rented my Vespa and headed straight toward The Coliseum 3 blocks away. I got there and circle this Ancient Roman Arena 5 times before going off to explore Roma, “Just like in the Movies.” I was in 7th Heaven. All this; a Pan Am 747, Rome, a Vespa and my youth.
